"Dax Shepard: From Comedy Star to Podcast Powerhouse – Inside His Inspiring Journey"
Actor Dax Shepard stated on his podcast,
"Armchair Expert," that he would like to have his brain donated for
CTE research once he passes away When Christopher Nowinski was on their show,
Shepard and Monica Padman decided to contribute their brains for medical
studies.
Rima Shrestha, a former cheerleader,
pointed out that looking at female athlete brains is significant, as they are
often trained without helmets unlike some other athletes.
He realised that he did not want to
decide alone, and that he should consult his family and especially his
daughters Linear and Delta before making his decision. He joked that his wife
would be in favour of his brain being taken out, saying she would probably say,
“Get that f-king brain out of here.”
The repeated, serious blows to the head
in athletes are thought to result in the brain disease CTE. Some signs of
addiction are trouble thinking clearly, depression, impulsive actions, limited
memory span, and instability of feelings. Right now, a person's brain must be
examined after they pass away in order to determine whether they have CTE.
Shepard's choice to donate his brain
demonstrates how crucial it is for science to advance our knowledge of the
brain damage sustained by sports.
If someone is open, it can encourage others to
join in on research.
